How come when the doctor speaks in arabic i am never satisfied as it'll take more time and energy to interpret and process to understand him but when he speaks in english i am unsatisfied with his pronunciation and misspoken words.

Am I not thankful...

I see some of my friends are having the time of their live, having fun, doing things they love and more importantly moving forward. So happy for them.

My friends of MEP05 are talking bout graduation now and can't say i'm not happy but i do feel left out...

Do you know the feeling when you first comes to live in a new area, when you look around you and everything seems fresh and new to you. Yeah that feeling. Well not a while back I had that exact feeling again as I was walking back home from a friend's place in the middle of the night. The street was almost empty with only a group of youngsters walking by. I stared towards the sky, watching the top of the surrounding buildings when I realized again that I am living in a foreign country which I am already familiar with. That few seconds my thoughts were towards my foreign friends and my purpose of being here in the first place - to study medicine and also get to know other cultures and learn from them.

Well it only lasted for a few second, 1 minute at most but that was one of the time in my life when I felt like i am refreshed.

Thank you God for giving me this chance to live in this world and learn and experience so many of your blessings.

Got a new chair today, the one that I had always wanted, a slightly higher more comfortable chair just like in the offices. Teehee, that's also a good way to freshen up your life right. So when was the last time you refreshed your life?

Traveling is also a great way to get a new perspective

Originally i wanted to rant about how tiring the rounds are but I got 9 more weeks to do that later

Yesterday we had a briefing on the new pediatrics rotation. Here are whats on the table for us this upcoming rotation:
Dr Suleiman Suwaidan came first and reminded us that how important attendance are which will be taken 4 times daily at different times and if we failed to attend or even late at one of those times we'll be considered absent for the whole day. He also said that he had failed our colleague who had a lot of absentees.

Next Dr Rawla took turn and explained how our dawam should be from now on:

If we are in King Abdullah University Hospital or Ramtha Hospital
1. Morning report everyday at 8 till 9. note-there might be quizzes
2. History taking and rounds with the specialists till 12.
here's the new part which was not done before
3. Break till 1 then continue to have another follow-up rounds with the patient whom we took history earlier in the morning till 3.
4. Lecture will be at 3.30 till 4.30 (mind you we are in winter and maghrib is at 4.40 currently)
note - she said we will only have one lecture per day as to prolong the days we will have lectures

If we have rounds in Mafraq Hospital
1. Bus will leave at 8 to the hospital
2. First thing first, morning report
3. Then rounds with specialists
4. We get back to King Abdullah University Hospital at 12
5. Go to the Emergency Room at 1-3
6. Lectures at 3.30

Before she ended her briefing, she also reminded us about the mark distribution which consist of evaluation 20 marks, and OSCE and mini OSCE 40 marks. As for evaluation, attendance wont account for any of the marks however if we were to absence for more than one time, they will cut our marks by the number of times we are absent.

conclusion 1: If this doesn't screw us into a real real real medical student, i don't know what will
conclusion 2: yeah life can be bitchy
conclusion 3: but my life is still peachy cause i'm awesome!
